North Greenville Eliminated From Conference Tournament With Loss to Mount Olive

Greensboro, NC - Ryan Brown continued his productive day with three hits and Clark Scolamiero recorded his second triple of the season, but the Crusaders ultimately feel short to the Mount Olive Trojans 6-3 to take an early exit in the Conference Carolinas Baseball Tournament.

Blake Hamilton, who got the start for NGU, was charged with the loss. He pitched 5.2 innings allowing ten hits, four earned runs, three walks, and struck out two. Kodi Whitley ended up with the win for Mount Olive while Zach Mozingo earned his thirteenth save of the season.

Both teams got off to an early start offensively as they would score two runs each in the first inning. After scoring a third run in the second inning, North Greenville would be shutout for the rest of the game. Trailing 3-2 in the second inning, Mount Olive would go on to score two runs in the fifth and two more runs in the seventh.

With the loss, North Greenville falls to 38-15.
