Michelle Tease is in her third season as head tennis coach at North Greenville University, having taken over the program in 2023 following a stint as assistant coach with the Trailblazers. Under her leadership, the program has shown a steady and exciting upward trajectory, with the team poised for one of its best seasons in recent memory.
In early 2026, Tease earned a distinction held by just 45 selected coaches nationwide, completing the ITA’s CoachUp Credentials Program — an intensive seven-month course. The achievement speaks to her commitment to excellence and her drive to continuously grow as a coach and leader.
Michelle brings a well-rounded and dynamic background to NGU. Prior to coaching, she served as a health advocate for an internationally recognized wellness company, equipping her with deep expertise in nutrition, fitness, recovery, and mental well-being — all of which she weaves into her coaching philosophy. She also brings experience in fundraising, talent identification and acquisition, and leadership and management. A collegiate athlete herself at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Michelle spent a decade as a classroom teacher and high school coach before making her mark in collegiate athletics.
More than just a coach, Michelle is a mentor and champion for her student-athletes.Â
Her greatest passion is getting to know each player personally and walking alongside them as they grow — inspiring them to become the very best versions of themselves, both on and off the court.
Michelle and her husband Scott reside in the Tigerville area with their three children: Sam (25), Ross (22), and Mya (19). Their daughter Mya proudly carries on the family’s love for the game as a member of the NGU Trailblazers tennis team.
