Jayne Arledge, from Enka, NC, begins her fourth year as the Senior Women's Administrator at North Greenville and 40th year overall, spending 36 of those as the head women's basketball coach. 

Arledge attended Western Carolina University on a basketball scholarship. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education from WCU in 1979. Among her many honors and awards at Western and is most known holding the Lady Catamounts All-Time Leading Scorer record with over 1,928 points, a record in which she still holds. After her senior season, her jersey was retired and she was inducted into the WCU Hall of Fame in 1992. The school officially retired her number and jersey to the rafters in the Ramsey Center in 2006.

Upon graduation from Western Carolina, Arledge began her coaching career at Dorman High School. After two years of coaching and teaching at Dorman, she came to North Greenville to be the volleyball and basketball coach. For 15 years she was a dual-sport coach until she gave up volleyball to give full attention to basketball.

Arledge was born on April 15, 1957 and attended Enka High School in North Carolina. While at Enka, she was a four-sport letterman in basketball, volleyball, softball and track. She was an all-conference performer in basketball, volleyball and softball. Arledge is also in the Hall of Fame at Enka High School. She graduated  in 1975. After graduating from Western, she earned her Master’s Degree in Education from Furman University.
