Jeff Williams serves as North Greenville University’s Faculty Athletic Representative and is the Chair of the Department of Health Science and an Associate Professor. With over 13 years of teaching experience at NGU, he teaches Kinesiology, Medical Aspects of Athletics, and Strength and Conditioning, investing deeply in the development of student-athletes both in and out of the classroom.
A proud NGU alumnus, Dr. Williams earned his undergraduate degree in Health Promotion and Wellness before completing his Doctor of Physical Therapy at the Medical University of South Carolina. Outside of teaching, professionally he has a background in sports and orthopedic physical therapy. In his faculty role, he has been recognized with the NGU Lamar Chapman Award as an outstanding faculty and the BCM Faculty/Staff of the Year Award.
Dr. Williams is passionate about the role athletics plays in NGU’s mission, believing transformational leadership is developed both in the classroom and through competition. As Faculty Athletic Representative, he seeks to be an encourager and advocate for student-athletes, supporting their success academically, athletically, and spiritually.
He and his wife have three sons and enjoy spending time outdoors surfing, fishing, hunting, and hiking and love attending athletic events cheering on the Trailblazers.
