Robbie Edwards took over the North Greenville University men's and women's golf programs in January 2016 from just down the road where he worked as a Golf Professional for Cherokee Valley Course and Club in Travelers Rest, SC.
During his time at Cherokee Valley, Edwards served as the assistant golf professional and had several responsibilities including setting up clinics for members as well as giving private lessons to members.
Edwards is a member of the PGA of America. He was also the First Assistant Professional at Green Valley Country Club in Greenville, SC. The head skipper of NGU golf also spent time at Links o'Tryon in Campobello, SC.
In his career at North Greenville, Edwards has led the Crusaders to two Conference Carolinas Championships and three NCAA Regional appearances for men's golf as well as a top-five finish for the women's team at the 2018 Conference Carolinas Championships. He is the first coach in school history to lead a program to back-to-back conference championships. Edwards also helped the women to a record-breaking tournament at the Patsy Rendleman Invite where the Crusaders shattered three school records including lowest individual round by a player, total team score, and lowest team round.
Robbie Edwards is a South Carolina native having graduated from Landrum High School. He and his wife Kimberly currently reside in Travelers Rest, South Carolina with their son, Maverick.
