Lakeisha Gregory

Lakeisha Gregory is in her first season as an assistant coach on the Crusader’s women's basketball staff. Gregory comes to NGU following a season as the Director of Operations at Indiana State.

"Lakeisha is an up-and-coming star in the coaching world," said Long at the time of Gregory's hiring. "The experience she gained at Indiana State as a graduate assistant and Director of Operations, combined with a successful playing career at Austin Peay, makes her a great fit for our program. She has a great rapport with players, and we are excited to have her help develop our young corps of guards. I'm very confident she will be a great addition to our coaching staff and program."

Gregory played a key role at Indiana State, working with the Sycamores guards and thru scouting and practice preparation, among other duties associated with the program.

Gregory enjoyed an outstanding playing career at Austin Peay, starring at guard/forward and serving as team captain her junior and senior campaigns. Named First-Team All-OVC, the only Gov to earn an All-Conference honor. Played and started in all 30 games, the only Governor to accomplish the feat. Gregory was the team's leading scorer, averaging 13.6 points per game on 40.2 percent shooting from the field. She also led the team in minutes played (30.8 per game), assists (2.9 apg), and steals (1.6 spg).

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Austin Peay in Exercise Science, with a minor in Leadership, and collected a master's degree in Physcial Education from Indiana State.
