Michelle Tease

Michelle Tease takes over the reins as head coach for both the men's and women's program following a successful stint as assistant during the 2022-2023 season.

In a season that saw the NGU women's program qualify for its first ever post-season conference tournament and one where the men's program recorded its first conference tournament victory in recent years with an upset win over Emmanuel, Tease was an integral part of the team's success.

"She's a tremendous student of people and has an uncanny ability to make everyone she encounters feel special," remarked former NGU head coach Kylie Kykuendall. "I cannot emphasize enough that we would not have been who we were, either as a team or as individuals, without Coach Tease's influence.  She's the perfect person for this position and I look forward to watching what she builds and cheering her on as NGU Tennis' biggest fan."

Along with a background in fundraising, talent identification and acquisition, and leadership/management, Tease comes to North Greenville from a highly successful stint as a health advocate for an internationally recognized wellness company and will bring with her a wealth of knowledge about nutrition, fitness, recovery, and mental well-being. She also was a collegiate athlete at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and spent 10 years as a classroom teacher and high school coach.

North Greenville athletic director Jan McDonald remarked, "Michelle will bring familiarity to our team as she assisted with the team last season and will continue to build on the excitement and expectations for our tennis program.  Her love for the players and willingness to help them develop not only as players but also as successful young adults in their collegiate career and beyond make her a great choice for NGU."

Michelle and her husband, Scott reside in the Tigerville area with their three children: Sam – 22, Ross – 19, and Mya –16.
