Nic Cardwell

Nic Cardwell comes to the NGU football program from Appalachian State, where he served as a graduate assistant, working with the team’s tight ends. Cardwell coached the Mountaineers during the 2008 season, but left the program following its conclusion, spending two years in the private sector, before returning to App. State. He spent the 2011 season serving as the assistant director of the Mountaineers Strength and Conditioning program upon returning to Appalachian State.

Cardwell found his way to the field again in 2012, resuming his role working with the tight ends. Cardwell was a walk on at Appalachian State in 2003, quickly making a name for himself as he finished his career as a team Co-Captain and three-time national champion. He earned his criminal justice degree in 2008, and is a native of Kernersville, North Carolina. Cardwell will coach the offensive line at North Greenville. He and his wife, Kira, have a son named Kai.
