JK enters his 3rd year on the coaching staff at North Greenville as the volunteer assistant. JK works with the pitching staff. During his two years on staff at NGU the Crusaders have had a record of 104-21, and have made back to back National Championship appearances (2022 and 2023), while capturing the National Championship title in 2022.

JK received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management in 2020 from North Greenville University. He later completed his Master in Business Administration from North Greenville University in 2021.
JK started his collegiate career at the College of Charleston in 2016 before transferring to NGU to finish his playing career. He played at NGU from 2017-2021. He was voted a captain during his final two years. He was apart of 3 conference championship teams.
During the 2022 National Championship season he helped lead the Crusader pitching staff to a 3.59 ERA, which ranked 8th nationally. Reece Fields was named Conference Carolinas Pitcher of the Year, as well as 1st team All-Southeastern Region. Starting pitcher Noah  Takac lead the country in ERA, WHIP, H/9, AVG against, Hits Allowed, Runs Allowed.
During the 2023 season, the pitching staff recorded a 4.14 ERA. Reece Fields and Michael Rodriguez were named 1st Team All-Conference. Noah Takac and Nate Roof were named 2nd Team All-Conference. Reece Fields was named 1st Team All-Southeastern Region. Michael Rodriguez was named 2nd Team All-Southeastern Region. Reece Fields was a 3rd Team All-American selection. Following the 2023 season the team’s closer Michael Rodriguez was selected in the 18th round of the Major League Baseball Draft by the San Francisco Giants.
