2018: Played in five games as a freshman and was in on a sack. 

High School: Played at Lugoff Elgin High School where he was a dual-sport athlete. he was an All-Region performer in football as well as wrestling where he also finished second in the state of South Carolina. As a football player, he was the region player of the year and a team defensive captain. 

Personal: Born Cameron Payne on April 14, 1999, to Jenny and Jesse Payne. From Lugoff, South Carolina.
