GAMEDAY CENTRAL: North Greenville Heads to Livingston for Showdown with #18 West Alabama

Tigerville – North Greenville football takes its undefeated record on the road this weekend as the Trailblazers travel to Alabama to take on West Alabama in the final non-conference game of the season tomorrow evening at 7 PM eastern time. 
 
North Greenville is coming off of a 42 – 31 come from behind win last weekend against Charleston, erasing a 17 -  point first half deficit in the process. North Greenville scored 21 – unanswered points and held the Golden Eagles to just 14 – points in the first half while racking up 493 – yards of total offense. 
 
The Tigers of West Alabama are also entering Saturday's match – up undefeated with a 3 – 0 record, racking up wins over two ranked opponents in #25 Pittsburg State and #21 Lenoir – Rhyn in the process. The Tigers come in to Saturday's game ranked #18, moving up a few spots after week two. 
 
Saturday's match – up pits a high-powered North Greenville offense against West Alabama's defense which is allowing just 21 – points per contest while scoring a touchdown more than its opponents. The Trailblazers are averaging a little more than 40 – points in two games led by redshirt freshman quarterback Kam Montgomery who ranks 8th in Division II right now in total offense accounting for 319 – yards per game both throwing and passing with six rushing touchdowns and a pair of passing scores. 

Opposite NGU's offense is a West Alabama offense that is led by quarterback Luther Richesson who has thrown for 852 – total yards on the season and eight touchdowns as well. Montgomery has won the offensive player of the week for two consecutive weeks while Richesson has won three consecutive weeks for the Gulf South Conference. 

West Alabama and North Greenville have played each other nine times in the last nine years. The Trailblazers have won five of the nine match ups, but the Tigers won the latest contest. UWA defeated NGU last season in Tigerville, South Carolina, 52-44, in a shootout.
