Asheville, N.C. - North Greenville posted several podium finishes this weekend including a pair of first place finishes to wrap up the 2026 regular season.
Troy Cocco led the way with a dominant performance in the javelin, taking first place with a throw of 66.66 meters, while Jayden Gaines added a fifth-place finish (44.93m). Taylor Campbell turned in a strong day in the throws, earning a second-place finish in the hammer throw (53.40m) and placing fifth in the shot put (14.08m). AJ Nash contributed in the discus with a sixth-place finish (42.25m).
In the field events, Bryce Hamby cleared 4.45 meters to take third in the pole vault, while Grayson Fulmer added depth with a seventh-place finish (4.15m).
On the track, Ty Phelps led the hurdles group with a pair of top-four finishes, taking third in the 400-meter hurdles (55.75) and fourth in the 110-meter hurdles (15.35). Joel Herman added a podium finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase, placing third with a time of 10:33.29, and Josiah Ashton recorded an eighth-place finish in the 1500 meters (4:01.26).
