NGU came out strong early, building a 4-1 lead by the end of the 1st quarter behind multiple early goals from Steven Huls Jr. The Trailblazers continued their momentum in the 2nd quarter, outscoring Mount Olive 4-3 to take an 8-4 advantage into halftime.
Mount Olive responded in the 3rd quarter, narrowing the gap with a 4-2 edge in the period to make it a 10-8 game heading into the final quarter. The Trojans carried that momentum into the 4th, scoring two of the first three goals to tie the game at 10. However, Aydan Sizemore delivered the decisive moment with a go-ahead goal midway through the quarter to give NGU an 11-10 lead.
