Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers put together a solid afternoon at Ray & Bea Dillard Field, defeating the Cobras of Coker University with a final score of 14-2. NGU pulled away early on with three runs in the 1st and four runs in the 4th including a two-run home run by
Skyler Hegler and an RBI double by
Kai Tullos. After two scoreless innings, the Trailblazers posted two more runs in the 6th. Coker would get on the board with two runs in the 8th, but North Greenville added plenty of insurance runs in the bottom of the inning, scoring five runs including a grand slam by
Cooper Noble, his first home run at the collegiate level.
Oliver Adams pitched the first 4.0 innings and received the win.
Kai Tullos finished the day with 2 hits including a double as well as 3 RBIs and a run scored.
Cooper Noble hit a grand slam, his first collegiate home run.
Skyler Hegler recorded a home run, 2 RBIs, a run scored and a walk.
North Greenville will face the Patriots of Francis Marion University on Friday, February 27th in Florence, South Carolina.
