The North Greenville Trailblazers nearly overcame a double-digit deficit that included a nineteen point lead by Converse, but ultimately fell with a final score of 67-61 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. NGU trailed early on, falling behind 19-6 at the end of the 1st quarter. The Valkyries continued to build up the lead, leading by as much as nineteen points in the 2nd quarter. However, the Trailblazers were able to cut into the deficit and went on to lead the 2nd quarter 16-10 and trailed by just seven at halftime. After a fast start by Converse to open up the 3rd quarter, North Greenville would take over the momentum. Finishing the quarter with the final six points, NGU trailed by just three going into the 4th. The final quarter would go back and forth between the two teams, with Converse managing a small lead. The Valkyries would lead by eight with less than a minute to go. North Greenville would get the deficit down to three, but ultimately the Valkyries would hang on to win by six points. NGU finished the game with a .338 field goal percentage and shot just .238 from three point territory. NGU dominated in offensive rebounds 20-7 but were only able to capitalize with 12 second chance points.
