Bristol, TN – North Greenville dropped a pair of Conference Carolinas games to King University on Saturday losing 7 – 6 and 9 – 5 decisions.
North Greenville scored three runs in each of the third and fifth innings of Saturday's first game.
Sydney Price had a big hit for the Trailblazers in the fifth inning with a triple that scored two runs.
Emily Blackwell and
Emily Dawson also had extra base hits during the two scoring innings that plated runs.
North Greenville led by one run until King plated the tying run in the sixth inning. The Tornado were able to walk it off in the bottom of the seventh with an unearned run.
Sydney Price led NGU in game one going 2 – 3 with two RBI.
Karley Green and
Ansley Fowler also had two hits.
The Trailblazers took an early lead in game two with a run in the first inning, but the Tornado scored three runs in the home half of the first. NGU scored two runs in the third and the sixth inning including a
Lexie Metcalf that scored two runs. It was not enough however as King scored four runs in the fifth and one more in the sixth.
Metcalf led NGU with a double and two RBI.
Sydney Clark took the game two loss while
Georgia Lieb was credited with the loss in game one.
