Montevallo, AL – Men's Lacrosse dropped a non-conference match to Montevallo on Saturday 12 – 7.
The Trailblazers took a 2 – 0 lead early in the first quarter with goals from
Jackson Reich and Bryce Cordingly (
Hayden Moffat assist). The Falcons answered NGU with five unanswered scores over the next eight minutes to Put North Greenville in a 5 – 2 disadvantage. North Greenville added a pair of
Hayden Moffat goals to open up the second quarter but Montevallo once again answered with four scores while holding NGU scoreless. The Falcons led 9 – 4 at halftime.
Both Teams scored a single goal in the third quarter as NGU trailed 10 – 5 heading in to the final period.
Jackson Reich added his second goal of the game in the fourth while
Caden Castle also scored but the Trailblazers were unable to muster any more offense as the Falcons scored one more in the fourth to secure the win.
Moffat led North Greenville with three goals and an assist. He finished with six shots on goal. Reich finished with two goals and eight shots on frame.
Nick Jaffe led NGU's defense with three caused turnovers and a game high four groundballs.
Gabe Nelson finished with 16 saves in net.
