Tigerville – North Greenville's bats stayed hot on Saturday earning a pair of run-rule wins over Limestone College winning 13 – 5 and 8 – 0.
In game one North Greenville pounded out 11 – hits and held off a mid-inning Saints rally to earn the first "W" of the day. North Greenville scored nine runs across three innings including a four run second inning. Maddi Stone and Emiliy Dawson picked up RBI with bases loaded hit-by-pitches.
Ari Day delivered the a big two RBI single to extend NGU's lead to 6 – 0.
The Saints broke through in the third inning with five run frame, scoring all five on three hits. Limestone got a solo homer and a bases clearing double to do most of the damage. The Trailblazers responded in the home half of the inning with RBI singles from
Emily Blackwell and
Emily Dawson. Dawson's single scored a pair of runs.
The Trailblazers put an end to game one in the fifth inning with four more runs.
Ari Day delivered an RBI base knock while
Virginia Bishop and Amberly Fowler also got in on the action with RBI's.
Emily Blackwell delivered her second RBI of the game with a single which ended the first contest.
Blackwell finished the day 3 – 4 with two RBI and three runs scored.
Ari Day had one of her best games with three Rbi while going 2 – 4.
Karley Green got the win for NGU improving to 5 – 2 on the season.
The offense carried over in to game two for the Trailblazers who immediately jumped out to a three – run lead.
Karley Green delivered an RBI single while Maddi Stone's two run blast made it 3 – 0. Two more runs in the second and three in the fourth would once again end a game via the run rule.
Ali Hartin and Maddi Stone both collected RBI during the frame.
Blackwell had another solid game going 3 – 3 with three runs scored. Stone was 2 – 3 with a game high three RBI.
Kylie Rast improved to 3 – 0 on the season allowing just two hits while striking out seven.
