Tigeville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers wrapped up a busy week with a 3-1 victory over the Bobcats of Lees-McRae College this afternoon at Hayes Gymnasium. A close opening set would ultimately result in a 27-25 win by NGU. However, the Bobcats would respond by taking set two with a score of 25-22. Lees-McRae struggled throughout set three, posting a negative attack percentage as the Trailblazers easily took the set 25-18. Set four proved to be much more competitive, but once again NGU would narrowly come out of it on top with a score of 25-23. The two teams finished the afternoon with an identical attack percentage of .078. NGU led in total kills, service aces, digs, and assists while trailing by just one in total blocks.
Michael de la Cruz finished his afternoon with eleven kills, six digs, five block assists, and four service aces.
Thomas Roper posted nine kills, five digs, and two service aces.
Carter Shomock also recorded nine kills along with three block assists, and three digs.
NGU will head to Miami, Florida to take on the Bucs of Barry University on Monday, March 3rd.
