Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers fell to the Eagles of Embry-Riddle University with a final score of 11-7 at Pepsi Stadium. North Greenville led the afternoon in total shots 54-35, but solid defense by Embry-Riddle limited NGU to just one goal in the first half. ERAU led 2-1 at the end of the 1st quarter but pulled away in the 2nd with five unanswered goals to take a 7-1 lead into halftime. Both teams would score three goals in the 3rd quarter, causing NGU to face a six goal deficit with one quarter remaining. The Trailblazers did lead the 4th quarter in goals 3-1, but Embry-Riddle would hang on for a four point victory. Both teams finished the afternoon with fourteen turnovers while NGU slightly led the afternoon in ground balls 23-21.
Liam Brubacher led NGU with ten total shots, resulting in two goals.
Seth Broseman scored a goal and provided three ground balls and won seven out of ten face off attempts.
Bryce Cordingley and
Hayden Moffat both recorded a goal as well as an assist.
NGU will take on the Lions of Emmanuel University on Tuesday, March 4th in Franklin Springs, Georgia.
