Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers, who had complete control of the match early on including a set win by fifteen points, ultimately fell to the Tornado of King University by way of a reverse sweep at Hayes Gymnasium. NGU handled the Tornado convincingly in sets one and two as King held a negative attack percentage going into the third set. However, King was able to put up a fight by taking set three 25-21 as well as set four with the same score. The Tornado began the fifth set by scoring the first four points, and although the Trailblazers were able to keep it close, they would ultimately fall short as the Tornado scored the final point to complete the comeback win. NGU led the night in all major categories, including dominating in service aces 8-2 as well as blocks 12-6.

Michael de la Cruz posted a double-double, finishing with twelve kills and ten digs as well as two block assists, a service ace, and an assist. Carter Shomock also recorded a double-double with ten kills and eleven digs. He also provided a block assist and a service ace. Benjamin Alexander finished with thirty-four assists, sixteen digs, three block assists, and two service aces.

NGU will face the Indians of Catawba College on Thursday, February 27th in Salisbury, North Carolina.
