The North Greenville Trailblazers fell to the Wolves of Newberry College with a final score of 73-63 this afternoon in Augusta, Georgia. NGU kept things close in the 1st quarter, staying within three of Newberry at the end of the quarter. However, the Wolves put together a solid 2nd quarter to take a 39-28 lead into halftime. NBY continued to hold the momentum in the 3rd quarter, pulling away further to increase the lead to 21 with a score of 60-39. The Trailblazers were able to get the offense going in the 4th quarter, scoring 24 points and cutting the deficit down to ten to close out the game. NGU finished the afternoon with a .403 field goal percentage and led in fast break points with 18.

Maliyah Mason scored 14 points and provided 5 rebounds, 2 steals, an assist, and a block. Isabel Waite finished with 11 points, an assist, and a steal. Amiyah Clark-Lamelle posted 9 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists.

NGU will return to action on Tuesday, November 18th against the Bob Jones Bruins in Greenville, South Carolina.
