North Greenville Falls Short in Conference Carolinas Championship with Loss to Young Harris

The North Greenville Trailblazers fell short of winning the program's first Conference Carolinas Championship, falling to the Mountain Lions of Young Harris College with a final score of 3-1 in Browns Summit, North Carolina. NGU fell behind in the first half as the Mountain Lions put up a goal early in the 8th minute. Shots came at a premium in the half as the Trailblazers narrowly led the half in shots 3-2. However, they would be unable to find the back of the net as the two teams would go into halftime with a score of 1-0 in favor of Young Harris. NGU turned up the aggression in the second half as they would more than double YHC in shots. In the 63rd minute, North Greenville would even things up as Ezra Hoffman scored the game-tying goal with an assist by Nicholas Vital. However, twelve minutes later Young Harris would reclaim the lead in the 75th minute. Less than thirty seconds later, the Mountain Lions would score again to take a 3-1 lead. That score would remain as Young Harris went on to claim the Conference Carolinas Championship.

Ezra Hoffman scored NGU's lone goal of the match. Nicholas Vital led both teams in total shots with 3. Vinicius Silva posted 2 shots.

The Trailblazers conclude their 2025 season with an 11-6-3 record with a 6-4-3 record in conference play.
