For the second time this season, North Greenville's Ricardo Marques has been named the Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week. The graduate from Lisboa, Portugal put together another impressive week, providing eight saves in two matches. 

The week began with a 1-1 draw against Belmont Abbey. Marques recorded seven saves in the match. Then the week concluded with a 4-0 victory over Shorter, in which Ricardo posted just one save as the Hawks were limited in their number of shots. 

Marques currently still ranks 1st among Conference Carolinas goalkeepers in goals against (.506) as well as total saves (53) and save percentage (.898). He is currently one of just two goalkeepers in the conference to allow less than a goal per match.
