North Greenville Pulls Away in Second Half in Win Over Shorter

Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers put together a dominant performance this afternoon at Pepsi Stadium, defeating the Hawks of Shorter University with a final score of 6-1. NGU went up 2-1 in the 1st half before completely dominating the second half with four goals to win by five goals. Emma Dennison was able to get thing started with a goal in the 30th minute. After the Hawks responded with a goal five minutes later, the Trailblazers would reclaim the lead with a goal by Finley Lloyd, ultimately going into halftime with a 2-1 lead. Emma Dennison would get the scoring going in the second half, her second goal of the game. Kylie Mcilravy provided the assist. Mcilravy would provide the next assist as well as Holly Lanter scored a goal of her own in the 66th minute. Valerie Hernandez would find the back fo the net in the 73rd minute. Up 5-1, North Greenville would put up one last goal, which was scored by Alexa Harriman and assisted once again by Kylie Mcilravy, her third assist of the match. The Trailblazers finished with a total of 26 shots with 14 on goal.

Emma Dennison scored 2 goals and put up a total of 4 shots with 3 on goal. Kylie Mcilravy provided 3 assists as well as a shot. Holly Lanter recorded a goal and 4 shots with 3 on goal.

North Greenville will face the Tornado of King University on Wednesday, October 15th in Bristol, Tennessee.
