Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders fell to the Cougars of Mount Vernon Nazarene University with a final score of 3-1 this evening at Hayes Gymnasium. NGU rested several starters, but that would prove to be costly as the Cougars were able to complete the upset. The Crusaders were outperformed in all categories with the exception of total blocks as they would lead the category 10-8. Both teams committed their share of errors as MVNU finished with a .168 attack percentage while North Greenville struggled as well with a .140 percentage.

Mark Autry put together 14 kills, 8 digs, 5 block assists, 2 service aces, and a solo block. Michael de la Cruz posted 9 kills, 5 block assists, 2 service aces, and a dig. Connor Kemp provided 35 assists and 6 digs.

NGU will return to action tomorrow at Hayes Gymnasium against the Waves of Pepperdine University.
