Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville put together a one-sided victory against the Saints of Limestone University, winning with a final score of 16-1 at Ray & Bea Dillard Field. North Greenville ran away with things early, scoring six runs in the 1st, three runs in the 2nd, and two runs in the 3rd. Limestone's run in the 2nd would go on to be their only run of the game. NGU's early runs included a three-run home run by
Pat Monteith and solo home runs by
David Lewis,
Dakota Britt, and Zack Cowart. Up 11-1, the Crusaders would add five more runs in the 6th including a three-run home run by
Kaleb Hall. A total of seven pitchers took the mount for North Greenville.
Brent Stukes recorded the win with 2.0 shutout innings pitched.
Dakota Britt was perfect at the plate, going 3 for 3 with a home run, two runs scored, and a walk.
Zach Cowart also recorded 3 hits including a home run as well as 2 runs scored and an RBI.
Brent Stukes posted his 2nd win of the season with 2.0 perfect innings and 3 strikeouts.
North Greenville will return to action on Friday, March 8th against the Trojans of the University of Mount Olive at Ray & Bea Dillard Field.
