Bristol, TN – Three players scored in double-figures for North Greenville on Saturday to lead the route of King University, a 74 – 56 win for the Crusaders over the Tornado.
The Crusaders trailed after the first quarter but used a big second quarter to power themselves to a halftime lead. NGU outscored the Tornado 25 – 10 in the second frame led by seven points from
Greyson Boone. Boone also collected a pair of rebounds and dished out two assists to aid NGU's highest scoring effort of the day.
North Greenville led by eight points at halftime and extended the lead with a 5 – 0 run to open the third quarter. Boone opened up the second half with a three – pointer followed by a pair of free throws from Abbi Oates which gave NGU a 13 – point lead. The Crusaders never looked back, leading by as many as 18 – points during the final 15 + minutes of the game.
Greyson Boone led the Crusaders with 19 – points on 7 of 14 shooting. She also had five assists and a pair of steals on defense.
Abi Oates had 15 – points while
Amaijah Smith had 16.
Defensively the Crusaders forced 19 – turnovers by the Tornado resulting in 22 – points from those turnovers. NGU outscored the Tornado 30 – 24 in the paint.
