Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders put together a 3-1 victory against the Bulldogs of Barton College this afternoon at Hayes Gymnasium. NGU led by a healthy margin in attack percentage throughout the match, finishing with a .238 percentage while holding the Bulldogs to .088 for the match. After North Greenville narrowly took set one 25-23, Barton would respond with a 25-23 set win of their own. NGU would completely dominate set three, recording a .450 attack percentage for the set and finishing with a 25-12 set win. Set four would once again be a tight one, but the Crusaders would once again come out on top with a score of 26-24. NGU trailed in total blocks but otherwise led in every category including kills, service aces, assists, and digs.
Michael de la Cruz led the Crusaders with 13 kills and 4 block assists while also providing 4 digs and 2 service aces.
Emanuel Adames posted 12 kills, 4 digs, 2 block assists, a service ace, and an assist.
Logan Keothavy recorded 11 kills and 7 digs.
NGU will take on the Bobcats of Lees-McRae College on Tuesday, February 20th in Banner Elk, North Carolina.
