Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers were narrowly defeated by Newberry with a final score of 60-52 at Hayes Gymnasium. 

The game began tightly, with the halftime scoreboard reading North Greenville University 23, Newberry 27. Despite the Trailblazers' efforts, Newberry held its ground and managed to maintain their lead throughout the game. The final quarter was particularly thrilling as North Greenville tied the score with just over five minutes remaining. However, Newberry was able to pull away late to secure the win.

Top performances on the North Greenville side came from Amaijah Smith, who scored 12 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and made 2 steals; Aniecia Malone contributed significantly as well with 10 points, 4 rebounds, and also 2 steals. Abi Oates added another 8 points to the team's total.

NGU will return to action on Wednesday, November 13th against the Pioneers of Tusculum University.
