North Greenville Drops Pair of Games to King

Bristol, TN – North Greenville softball dropped a pair of conference games to King College on Wednesday 8 – 4 and 9 – 4. 
 
Game One 
North Greenville led 4 – 1 midway through the game. Ali Hartin delivered an RBI double and Madison pride tacked on an RBI triple in the fourth. The Tornado scored one in the first inning but a four run fifth gave King a 5 – 4 lead. The Tornado tacked on three more runs in the sixth inning to extend the lead to four. The Crusaders had seven hits but stranded six runners in the game one defeat. 
 
Individual 
  • Ansley Folwer led North Greenville with a 2 – 3 performance in game one. She scored a run. 
  • Jenna Davis had a pair of hits and also scored a run. 
  • Ali Hartin led North Greenville with a pair of RBI and a run scored. She finished game one 1 – 2. 
Game Two 
North Greenville scored the first run of game two as Bri McRae knocked in Lexis Wilkinson in the first inning. The Tornado answered with eight runs in the first two frames to take an 8 – 1 advantage. The Crusaders scored a run in each of the third, fifth and seventh innings. King tacked on a run in the fifth frame. North Greenville once again tallied seven hits but stranded eight runners. The Tornado had 11 – hits. 
 
Individual  Coming Up 
 The Crusaders host Erskine College on April 14th.
