North Greenville Splits Doubleheader with Mount Olive

The North Greenville Crusaders and Mount Olive Trojans began their weekend conference series with a doubleheader split this afternoon in Mount Olive, North Carolina. North Greenville was able to string together a run in the second, sixth, and eighth innings while starting pitcher Noah Takac held the Trojans to just one run on four hits, five walks, and a hit batter while posting three strikeouts. NGU took the lead in the top of the first in game two, but would be unable to score in the remainder of the game and was held to just one hit. UMO would take the lead in the bottom of the fourth, scoring two runs in the inning and two more in the fifth. Reece Fields pitched 5.0 innings but received his first loss of the season.
