Tigerville – North Greenville stayed atop the Conference Carolinas standings with a 16 – 11 win over Converse College on Tuesday night. North Greenville broke up a three – all tie in the second quarter with four unanswered goals. The Crusaders carried a 7 – 0 lead in to halftime. NGU would double-up the Valkyries in the third period 6 – 3 to create some separation. North Greenville did its damage on 27 total shots including 22 – shots on goal. Converse tacked on five goals in the fourth quarter but North Greenville was able to hold off the late comeback with three scores.
