Franklin Springs, GA  -  North Greenville dropped the conference opener to Emmanuel College on Saturday noon after a 6 – 1 loss to Emmanuel. 
 
The Crusaders got one win in doubles play on the backs of Lucas Cardoso and Juan Jose Arbelaez 6 – 4. Tuur Vos and Anthony Cassini lost 2 – 6 while Jude Wilkey and Kyle Praschan fell 6 – 4. 
 
In singles, Dean Kingsley secured NGU's only win of the day with a 9 – 7 decision in just one set. Cardoso lost 4 – 6, 0 – 6, Vos fell 4 – 6, 1 – 6, and Joao Di Salvi lost 3 – 8. Jude Wilkey lost 2 – 6, 3 – 6.
