The North Greenville Crusaders wrapped up their road trip to Houston, Texas with a 7-6 victory against Chico State to wrap up their final game in the Houston Winter Invitational at Minute Maid Park. NGU managed just one hit before the sixth inning, but would put together three hits including a three run home run by
Cory Bivins as well as three walks to score seven runs in the inning and taking a 7-4 lead. The Wildcats put up a fight in the eighth inning with two runs, but
Nate Roof would eventually retire the side in the eighth and allow no runs in the ninth inning, earning the save and securing the win for NGU.
Matthew Taubensee was the winning pitcher.
