The North Greenville Crusaders recorded their third win of the season by hanging on to defeat the Panthers of Claflin University with a final score of 64-61 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. NGU was outscored in the first quarter by four points. The two teams would both score twelve points in the second quarter, allowing the Panthers to take a four point lead into halftime. However, North Greenville would outscore Claflin in both the third and fourth quarters. With the game tied 61-61, free throws would allow the Crusaders to take a three point lead with just two second remaining. CU was unable to get a final score off, allowing NGU to hang on to the ball as time expired.
Tabitha Littlefield was perfect from the field, making all seven of her shots and scoring a total of 16 points.
Geassy Germano scored 9 points and recorded 8 rebounds, 5 steals, and 2 blocks.
Abi Oates posted 9 points, 5 rebounds, and a block.
NGU returns to action on Monday, November 20th to take on Winston-Salem State University at Hayes Gymnasium.
