NGU posted its third straight shutout with a dominating match in Florence, South Carolina by defeating the Francis Marion Patriots with a final score of 3-0. The Crusaders dominated the shot column, putting up twenty-two while allowing just eight. Near the end of the first half,
Natalie Johnson put the Crusaders on the board with her first goal of the season as
Jada Patrick and
Elainee Sprinkle provided assists. Less than a minute into the second half,
Romee Contreras added a goal to the board with her third goal of the year off an assist by
Alexah Fite. With the match already in hand,
Julia Hayes would add an insurance goal in the 72nd minute with an assist by
Aleisha Lamb. With the win, the Crusaders improve to 5-0 in conference play.
