After multiple rain delays and a total of ten errors throughout the ballgame, the North Greenville Crusaders completed a comeback victory with a five-run 8th inning to defeat the Belmont Abbey Crusaders on a long afternoon in Wilson, North Carolina. North Grenville gave up five runs in the top of the 1st before come back with two runs in the 2nd including a two-run triple by
Gehrig Octavio as well as two more runs in the 3rd to cut the deficit to one run. After the 4th and 5th innings went scoreless, BAC would score a run in the 6th to open up the lead back to two. However, NGU would respond in the bottom of the inning with three runs to take a one run lead. That lead would not last long as Belmont Abbey scored three runs of their own in the top of the 7th. Still down by two,
Pat Monteith connected with a three-run home run to right field before a long rain delay brought the game to a halt. Once the game resumed, NGU would get two more runs across to increase the lead to three.
Tristen Hudson would allow two hits but strikeout three batters in the 9th to record the save and keep North Greenville in the winners' bracket.
