Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders closed out the 2022 season in the semifinals of the Conference Carolinas Tournament, falling to the top-seeded Mount Olive Trojans with a final score of 20-9 this afternoon at Pepsi Stadium. Initially, NGU not only kept up with the Mount Olive offense but even took a 2-1 lead. However, that lead would last less than two minutes as Mount Olive took over the game, end the quarter with the next three goals then spending the 2nd and 3rd quarter scoring fourteen of the next eighteen goal to take an 18-6 lead into the 4th quarter. North Greenville would go out in style, outscoring the Trojans in the quarter with three goals including the final two. In a season full of challenges including the program's first ever coaching change just weeks prior to the start of the season, NGU managed a 9-10 overall, a 6-3 conference record, and four all-conference players.
