The North Greenville Crusaders put together a successful day in Murfreesboro, North Carolina, defeating the Hawks of Chowan University with a final score of 21-13.
Thomas Cecere tied a program record for individual goals scored in a single game with seven. After taking a 5-3 lead in the 1st quarter, the Hawks scored the first two goals of the 2nd quarter to tie things up at 5-5. From there, the Crusaders would score the next six to take an 11-5 lead. NGU would outscore the Hawks 9-4 in the 2nd quarter to take a 14-7 lead into halftime. North Greenville would narrowly outscore Chowan by one goal in the second half to go on to win by eight goals.
Garrison Story, who played the first three quarters, was the winning goalie.
