North Greenville took care of business on the road with a convincing win over the Bulldogs of Barton College with a score of 3-0 in Wilson, North Carolina. The Crusaders led in every major category, completely dominating in blocks 10-1. NGU took a steady lead to begin set one, and after a 4-0 Barton run to tie the set the Crusaders would dominate the remainder, going on to take the opening set 25-16. Set two would be the closest set of the match. Barton led for the majority of the set, leading as much as seven. However, NGU would claw back into the set, and a late five point run would get North Greenville the lead back. The Bulldogs would score two in a row to go back in front, but NGU would close out the set with four of the final five points to narrowly win the set 25-23. North Greenville would pull away from the start in the third set, leading by as much as eleven. Barton put up a fight to close things out, but NGU would ultimately take the set by eight points to complete the sweep.
