North Greenville Overpowers Catawba in Salisbury

North Greenville recorded a total of six extra-base hits including three home runs in a lopsided 12-3 win over the Indians of Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina. The Crusaders put together a solid game in all three phases of the game, posting eighteen hits and no errors while the pitching staff allowed just three runs on five hits and two walks. NGU made quick work of things, scoring two runs in the 1st and six runs in the 2nd to seemingly put the game on ice with an 8-0 lead. After Catawba scored three unanswered runs, the Crusaders would jump back out to an eight run lead with three more runs in the 6th. The Crusaders put up one last insurance run in the top of the 8th which would go on to be the final run of the game.
