In the first conference game of the season, the North Greenville Crusaders put together an 8-6 victory over the Erskine Flying Fleet. The game began as a pitchers' dual with no runs scored in the first three innings. However, the remainder of the game would see just four scoreless half-innings with all runs being scored between the beginning of the 4th and the end of the 8th. North Greenville gained the lead in the 4th when
Josh Senter hit a two-run homer. Erskine responded in teh bottom of the inning with a run. With a one-run lead in the top of the 6th, a three-run home run by
Pat Monteith put NGU up by four. After the Flying Fleet put up two runs in the bottom of the inning, the Crusaders scored two runs of their own in the top of the 7th with RBI singles by
Jordan Holladay and
Pat Monteith. Down by four, Erskine put together one last fight, scoring two runs in the 8th. However,
Tristen Hudson would shut the bats down, pitching a perfect 1.2 innings to record the save.
Jax Cash pitched a predetermined 3.0 innings and earned the win.
