St. Augustine – Men's Golf opened the 2022 season this week with a finish of 20
th at the Men's Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate.
The Crusaders finished with a three round total of 946 for the tournament but improved from round-to-round. NGU 323, and 316 in rounds one and two but saved its best round for its final trip, shooting a 307 as a squad.
Zach McDermid led North Greenville at the end of three rounds with a total of 229. McDermid shot an 80 and followed it with a 78 and 71 in rounds 2 and 3. His 71 is the lowest round of the tournament for North Greenville.
Kobie Morton put together a consistent tournament and finished with a 234 for a total. He finished with a pair of 79's in the first two rounds and wrapped up his week with a 76. Danny Planchook finished with rounds of 81, 80, and 82 for a total of 243.
Other finishers for NGU include
Trey Cauthen who shot a 244 (83, 83, 78) and
Karsten Shields who finished with a total of 246 (84, 79, 83).
