Tigerville – North Greenville has tabbed Kylie Kuykendall as the new head coach for North Greenville men's and women's tennis.

The 2021 season was a record breaking year for the Paladins in which the claimed victories over No. 16 Wake Forest, and No. 18 South Carolina. The Paladins were ranked as high as 23rd in the nation that season and claimed both the SoCon regular season title as well as the tournament championship. The win propelled the Furman women's team to its fourth consecutive NCAA post season appearance and 20th overall.

During the shortened 2020 season, Kuykendall's first on the Paladin staff, Furman sported a 13-4 overall record and 1-0 SoCon mark and achieved a national ranking of 35th, the highest ranking in the history of the program.  Katarina Kozarov became just the second All-American in Paladin women's tennis history and was named the 2020 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division I Most Improved Senior and the ITA Carolina Region Most Improved Senior.  She rose as high as 13th in the national singles rankings and scored four consecutive wins to reach the consolation finals of the ITA All-American Championship, clinching an automatic entry into the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships.  Kozarov teamed with Julia Adams for a national ranking of 21st in doubles, while Adams and Madison Dillon were ranked as high as 23rd nationally.
"First, I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Gene Fant and to Jan McDonald, along with their staff and the entire NGU family for entrusting me with this incredible opportunity to serve our student athletes and to guide our tennis program into its next phase of development and achievement.

As a native to the Upstate, I've always been aware of the unique possibilities that NGU offers and throughout this entire process, that belief has been repeatedly confirmed. NGU is strategically positioned for Kingdom impact and I believe that the student athletes in our tennis program are an essential part of this mission.

I am convinced we have some incredibly bright days ahead, as a program and as an institution.  My family shares my enthusiasm for the task in front of us.  We are fired up to join the NGU community and can't wait to get to work!"
