Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders put up a competitive fight against the Patriots of Francis Marion University, but ultimately fell short with a final score of 91-77 at Hayes Gymnasium. Former North Greenville head coach
Jayne Arledge made a temporary return to coaching in place of head coach Kelvin Long, who is currently dealing with a non Covid-related sickness. North Greenville was able to get off to a strong start, shooting .579 percent from the field in the first quarter to take a 27-23 lead. Francis Marion outscored NGU by one point in the second, but the Crusaders still held a three point lead at halftime. The second half, however, belonged to FMU as they would ultimately take a fourteen point win. Francis Marion led by a wide margin in fast break points 24-6 as well as points off turnovers 25-13.
