The North Greenville Crusaders split a doubleheader this afternoon in Bristol, Tennessee against the Tornado of King University to win the conference series 3-1. NGU was held in check in game one, falling 4-2 but bounced back and dominated game two with a score of 14-2.
Ethan Stringer put together a solid performance, collecting five hits for the day.

- Zach Taglieri took the mound for the Crusaders to begin game one. After two scoreless innings to begin the game, NGU would get on the board in the 3rd when Pat Monteith hit a solo shot down the left field line. The lead would remain until the bottom of the 4th when King tied the game with an RBI single to right field. Extra innings would be required, but the Crusaders would regain the lead with am RBI groundout by Brady West. However, the Tornado would respond in walk-off fashion with a three-run home run. Brent Herlong was the losing pitcher.
- With Christian Ryder taking the start for game two, NGU would take the lead in the top of the 2nd with a sacrifice fly by Jax Cash. Four runs would follow in the top of the 3rd including a two-run double down the left field line by John Michael Faile and an RBI single through the right side and would score two more runs in the top of the 4th when Ethan Stringer hit an RBI single to left field and John Michael Faile hit a solo home run to left center field. The Tornado would get on the board in the bottom of the 5th with an RBI double and a throwing error that allowed a run to score. However, momentum would go right back to NGU with four runs in the 6th including a three-run homer by Marek Chlup and three insurance runs in the 8th. Ryder was the winning pitcher.
