In a strange series this afternoon in Bristol, Tennessee, untimely hitting plagued the Crusaders as they would fall to the Tornado of King University with final scores of 10-4 and 5-3. The Crusaders would record eight hits in game one but would be outperformed by the Tornado. NGU would dominate the hit column in game two, but ultimately fell short in the run column.
Taylor Koon put together a great day, going 6 for 8 at the plate.

Recap
- Callie Richards took the mound for NGU in game one, but would last just 2.1 innings as King would put up five runs in the 2nd and 3rd innings including a two-RBI triple. The Crusaders were able to get on the board in the top of the 5th with an RBI groundout by Josie Reed and an RBI double by Brianna McRae. King responded with another RBI triple in the bottom of the inning. Lauren Earls would knock in two runs with a single up the middle in the top of the 6th, but the Tornado wrapped up the scoring in game one with four runs in the bottom of the 6th. Richards was charged with the loss.
- With Jaelin Griffin getting the start for game two, the Crusaders would get on the board early in game two with three runs in the 1st inning including a two-RBI double to left center by Brianna McRae and another RBI double to left center by Jenna Hewes. King would respond in the bottom of the inning with an RBI triple. They would then take the lead with three runs in the bottom of the 2nd. The Crusaders would dominate the hit column over the remainder of the game, but would not get another run across the plate. King would score one more run in the 4th, which would prove to be enough for the win. Jaelin Griffin lasted just one inning. She allowed just one hit but walked six and gave up three earned runs and was charged with the loss.
Individual
- Taylor Koon had quite a day at the plate, posting 6 hits including a double. She crossed home plate twice.
- Brooklyn Stone recorded 3 hits for the day including a double.
- Hailey Wells pitched 5.0 strong innings in relief, allowing no earned runs and just 3 hits. She struck out 2.
