Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders began their 2021 season with an overtime win against the Hawks of Chowan University at Pepsi Stadium. NGU led the game in total shots but couldn't quite find the back of the net in regulation. However, only three and a half minutes would be needed in overtime for Megan Biehl to hit the game-winning shot in overtime. Biehl led in total shots with four.

• An even 1st half resulted in five shots and two saves for both teams. NGU would put up several saved shots early on in the 1st half while Chowan recorded several saved shots in the later minutes of the half.
• The Crusaders continued to post shots in the second half, leading the category 5-3 for the half. Chowan started the half off as the aggressors, but NGU would respond with several shots late in the half. However, neither team was able to get on the board, forcing overtime.
• Overtime would last just under four minutes as Megan Biehl would put up the only shot of the period, which resulted in a goal with an assist by Mackenzie Neff.
