Box Score NGU scored five goals by five different scorers to beat the Mount Olive Trojans 5-0 in Tigerville. The Crusaders have now scored five goals against two different conference opponents this season, and now hold a conference record of 4-1 for second place in the Conference Carolinas standings.
1st Half
It didn't take long for North Greenville to get on the board as Ariana Perry would score her first goal of the season in the 13th minute with an assist by Abby Robinson. The Crusaders had a chance to increase their lead to two by way of a penalty kick by Asheton Robinson, but an impressive save by UMO's Kendall Blaine prevented that from happening. However, NGU did score their second goal late in the first half when Ayden Boatwright found the back of the net. The Crusaders finished the half with ten shots.
2nd Half
With a change at goalkeeper for Mount Olive, North Greenville struck for a third goal in the 62nd minute, which was scored by Megan Biehl and assisted by Karly Denaburg. About seven minutes later, Sarah Hazelwood added a fourth goal as a result of a penalty kick. Late in the half, NGU scored a fifth goal when Karly Denaburg was assisted by Michaela Gleed and Mary Puryear. North Greenville finished the match with 22 shots, 15 on goal.
Individual
Karly Denaburg provided a goal as well as an assist to increase her point total to 7 for the season.
Megan Biehl scored her 3rd goal of the season. She leads the Crusaders in points with 8.
Sarah Hazelwood, Ayden Boatwright, and Ariana Perry also scored goals.
